Andrew J. Howard, attorney and co-founder of Andersen & Howard, L.L.C., focuses his practice in criminal defense (including D.W.I.'s, traffic violations, probation revocations, juvenile delinquencies, and felony and misdemeanor offenses), family law (including divorces, child custody, parenting time, child support, spousal maintenance, and paternity determinations), personal injury and car accidents, landlord/tenant law, small claims, employment law, wills and trusts, and other areas of general civil litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
Andrew was born in York, Pennsylvania and was raised in Marshalltown, Iowa. He attended undergraduate school at St. Ambrose University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism with a minor in Mass Communications. While at St. Ambrose, Andrew earned Academic All-American honors in men's golf.
While attending Drake University Law School in Des Moines, Iowa, Andrew earned his Juris Doctorate degree with a Concentration in Legislative Practice. He has interned in the Iowa Legislature for President of the Senate, Jeff Lamberti, and has also worked as a lobbying intern for the Iowa Taxpayers Association. Additionally, Andrew clerked as a summer associate for two reputable central Iowa law firms.
Prior to relocating to Minnesota, Andrew practiced law at a general practice law firm in Marshalltown, Iowa. He is admitted to practice law in both Minnesota and Iowa state courts.
Andrew enjoys watching college basketball, reading, playing golf, and spending time with family and friends.
